Depression by Single Parent
It will be a single parent because of a bad relationship, divorce, adoption, you are a widow or by circumstances, depression can sneak up on you. Although we know that children are a blessing from the Lord, it’s sometimes can be difficult to keep the daily routine daily care management and delivery of one or more children. Can be negative for every area of your opinion, you think if your thinking in a positive experience.
I understand that 2010 may have not been a wonderful year for you. But, please don’t go into the New Year being depressed about everything that went wrong in 2010. If you continue to focus on negative things and the past, then your mind will never be open to hope, faith and the positive things that could happen in your life. We should focus on positive things because the Bible tells us too. But, also because our children can tell when we are not happy or depressed.
They may ask the innocent question, “Mommie, is something wrong?” or “Daddy, why do you have a sad face?” Well, you may ask the question, how can I focus on positive things and why. Well, once again, the Bible can address this question. Philippians 4:8 tells us to: “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Verse 9 tells us that if you do the things that you have learned and heard, the things that were talked about in Philippians 4, then the God of peace shall be with you.
