Inspiration In New Beginnings
A new year is a new beginning. It’s a chance to forgive yourself for the projects that you did not complete, or the workout plan that you gave up on midway through the previous year, or the financial plan to get yourself out of debt that you sort of side-stepped. Don’t focus on that, don’t waste your energy worrying about how just didn’t accomplish what you set out to do. That was last year. Adios! Say goodbye to those negative feelings and start anew.
10 Step Plan:
1 Forgive yourself and forget about your disappointments
2 Clear your mind, cleanse your system, just like your car, it’s a good time for a tune up
3 Create a plan and write it down, start off by jotting down, in point form, some of the things you’d like to do
4 Dream big, go for it, don’t limit yourself, find inspiration to help you continue to move forward
5 Create an action plan, remembering that it is best to do a little each day. Set some goals.
6 Do a monthly audit check, this will help you keep on track
7 Reward yourself along the way, keep yourself motivated by recognizing and acknowledging your achievements, whether they be big or small
8 Stay positive and focused on your plan, keep working on it and don’t give up even if it means that a revision may be necessary
9 Do a final review of how far you have come
10 Celebrate! You have achieved what you set out to do. Your positive attitude and dedicated work effort have paid off big time and the task you set out to do has been accomplished making the plan a success.
So, remember that it is never too late to begin. Find inspiration, think about what you’d like to do, or fix, or improve, or change. Let this year be the year you finally quit smoking, start and stick to a workout plan, live a healthier lifestyle and/or manage your finances in a better way. Whatever your plan is, believe in yourself, get ‘er started, stay committed and get ‘er done.
